Story
“John Cooper Clarke” is one of my all-time heroes and someone I’ve wanted to paint for years.
I like people who march to the beat of their own drum. John doesn’t march, he’s struts in snakeskin boots and an immaculate tailored suit.
John is to poetry, what Johnny Rotten is to Punk, what Beethoven is to classical music and what George Foreman is to grills.
I could talk all day about John, but instead enjoy this painting I did of him instead and if you don’t know who he is get on Youtube and delve deep in his work - you won’t be disappointed!
